Valaciclovir is hydrochloride salt of L-valvi ester of anti viral drug acyclovir. The chemical name of valaciclovir hydrochloride is L-Valine 2-[2-amino-1,6-oxo-9H-purin-9-yl0methoxyl ethyl ester monohydrochloride.
Valaciclovir hydrochloride is a white to off white powder with the molecular formula C13H20N6O4*HCL and amolecular weight of 360.80. The maximum solubility in water at 250 C is 174mg/mL.
